In June 2011, COAMC provided poverty alleviation assistance to Shaoyang County, retrofitted Orient Hope Primary School from Hebo Village, and donated 250,000 yuan, 32 computers (desks included), 3600 books, 268 pieces of stationary to the school. In order to raise the education quality of Orient Hope Primary School, COAMC retrofitted and rebuilt school buildings, teachers’ offices, computer rooms, and reading rooms, making the school’s local ranking go up from the bottom to the second place in the entire county.
